OUR HISTORY
Fairmont Veterinary Hospital was established in September 1979, when Dennis J. Moore purchased Spanabel Animal Hospital from Dr. John Spanabel. The practice has been in existence since the early 1950's. Fairmont Veterinary Hospital started with one veterinarian, one receptionist, one technician and a Kennel attendant. A veterinarian was hired in 1981, and Grafton Animal Hospital was opened as a Satellite clinic. In 1982, a second veterinarian was hired, (Dr. Joseph Romano). Dr. Romano became a partner in 1985 and a third veterinarian was hired in the late 1980's.
A new hospital was built in 1992, and the building size was increased from 1500 square feet to 5000 square feet. Since that time, the practice has grown to six veterinarians, with Dr. Moore's son Scott joining the staff in June 2006. We currently have a staff of 35 including, 6 veterinarians, 10 registered veterinary technicians, 15 veterinary assistants, 4 receptionists, 5 secretaries, 3 kennel attendants, and 1 housekeeper.
